Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP is pleased to announce that Laura Williams has joined the firm as a senior associate in its Environmental & Public Lands Group. Laura is admitted to practice in Texas. She is not yet admitted to practice in Colorado. 

Laura focuses her practice on a broad range of matters, including civil and criminal defense for state and federal enforcement actions. Laura provides compliance counseling related to various environmental regulations, such as the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Clean Water Act (CWA), and the Clean Air Act (CAA). Additionally, she addresses emerging ESG concerns and environmental justice matters. Her expertise also includes environmental permitting across air, water, and waste. 

Before joining Davis Graham, Laura practiced in the Houston office of an international law firm, where she represented clients in environmental enforcement actions, supported transactions, and advised on regulatory advocacy. She also previously counseled energy clients on compliance and permitting matters and conducted internal investigations as part of her work with another international firm. Earlier, she served as a law clerk for the New York State Office of the Attorney General, Environmental Protection Bureau, and the Environmental Protection Agency’s Air Enforcement Division/Mobile Sources Enforcement Branch. 

Laura earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where she served as senior managing editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review. She received her B.A. from Duke University.
