DENVER — Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP is pleased to announce that Jack Mathews has joined the firm as a senior associate in its Environmental & Public Lands Group. Jack is admitted to practice in Colorado, New York, and Washington, DC.
Jack focuses his practice on complex environmental regulatory and litigation matters. He represents global and multinational clients in disputes involving contamination, remediation, and environmental liability under federal and state law, including matters arising under CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, and their state equivalents, as well as the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act.
Prior to joining Davis Graham, Jack advised clients on matters involving emerging contaminants and legacy pollutants, including PFAS, technologically enhanced naturally occurring radioactive materials (TENORM), PCBs, dioxins and furans, pesticides, heavy metals, and DNAPL. His experience includes significant Superfund and remediation matters nationwide, such as the Passaic River and Diamond Alkali Superfund Site in New Jersey and the Willamette River Portland Harbor Superfund Site in Oregon. He also counsel’s clients on environmental risks that may materially impact corporate transactions.
In addition to his environmental practice, Jack has experience in complex commercial litigation, has advised government clients in investigative matters, and maintains an active pro bono practice.
Jack earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law and his B.A. from Antioch College.
