Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP is pleased to announce that Alexandra Burton and Max Hamilton have joined the firm as associates, expanding the transactional and litigation capabilities that Davis Graham can provide to clients. Ms. Burton is admitted to practice law in Colorado. Mr. Hamilton is admitted to practice law in Colorado and the District of Columbia.
Alexandra Burton: Ms. Burton’s practice focuses on corporate transactional law, including mergers and acquisitions, securities law, and general corporate matters. She was previously a law clerk for Chief Judge Mark A. Barnett of the U.S. Court of International Trade in New York. Ms. Burton received a J.D./L.L.M. in International and Comparative Law from Duke University Law School and holds a B.A. in English from Cornell University. During law school, she served as the executive editor of Law and Contemporary Problems and as a student attorney for the Duke International Human Rights Clinic. She also spent a month at the Duke-Leiden Institute in Global and Transnational Law in The Hague. While earning her law degrees, Ms. Burton gained further experience through several internships and externships, including in Madrid, Washington, D.C., Dallas, and New York.
Max Hamilton: Mr. Hamilton’s practice has an emphasis on commercial litigation. He was previously an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of a multinational law firm and then a law clerk to the Honorable Jerome Holmes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He has represented clients in appellate litigation, complex commercial disputes, white collar defense, and internal investigations. Mr. Hamilton received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and holds a B.A. in Political Science and International and Area Studies from Washington University in St. Louis. During law school, he was the senior notes editor of the Georgetown Law Journal and served on the Executive Board of the American Constitution Society and as co-president of Georgetown Law’s Teach-In program. He also interned for the Honorable James E. Boasberg of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and served as a student attorney for the Georgetown Appellate Courts Immersion Clinic.
