  • WILLS: Leadership in the Age of COVID-19

The novel coronavirus pandemic has upended industries across the globe, forcing radical shifts in business practices and behaviors. Our next WILLS panel will feature two women – the Chief Legal Officer of a global manufacturing company and the Chief of Staff of Denver International Airport – who have confronted these challenges head-on. The discussion will focus on leadership in crisis: how these women have navigated unprecedented issues, how the pandemic has disproportionately affected women, and how we can use some of this past year’s disruption to rebuild our industries with greater gender parity and the advancement of women top of mind.

  • Davis Graham Employment Law Update: What Colorado Employers Need to Know About New Employment Laws Webinar

Colorado’s new paid sick leave and equal pay statutes will be effective on January 1, 2021, and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, through its Division of Labor Standards and Statistics, has made new rules applicable to those laws available on its rulemaking webpage. Moreover, Colorado voters approved a new paid family and medical leave law that will change the leave landscape for Colorado employers. We hope you can join Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP for this webinar discussing the new laws and how best to protect your company in the form of changes to your policies, procedures, practices, and job postings.

  • Davis Graham Webinar: Crisis Communications

Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, and YouTube are now the places where a reputation that is built up over many years may be shattered in an instant. Only moments after a negative public incident, attorneys and clients may find themselves needing to manage a significant PR crisis. Especially in today’s world of “gotcha” journalism, “managing the message” is a necessary skill set for C-level employees and in-house counsel. Please join us for a webinar to hear from veteran crisis management and communications specialist Bruce Hennes of Hennes Communications.

  • Ethics for In-Housel Counsel Webinar

Ethical traps persist, even when you’re no longer recording your time in 6-minute increments. Please join your Davis Graham alumni colleagues for a webinar about common ethical issues facing in-house counsel. Ben Strawn and Sarah Carlson will refresh attendees’ memory of attorney-client privilege issues involving corporate entities, including the privilege as applied across multiple related entities, potential conflicts with individual corporate representatives, and when a lawyer steps outside the attorney role and into a business role. The presentation will also address counsels’ obligations to ensure that their clients properly preserve electronically stored information, in all its marvelous forms, and interact fairly with their non-clients (including unrepresented parties).
