The number of women, and particularly diverse women, in the highest ranking positions is still far too low. When you factor in those who have children, the numbers are even worse. Our next WILLS panelists, however, have beaten the odds and made it to the top. Certainly, anyone who becomes the Senior VP, Chief Legal Officer, & Corporate Secretary of Arrow Electronics; President & CEO of Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation; or a Justice of the Colorado Supreme Court is incredibly smart and hardworking. But those aren’t the only reasons these women have succeeded. During the next WILLS program, we’ll explore the specific steps these women took and the strategies they employed to reach the highest levels of their profession. We’ll also examine the traits of the people they surround themselves with and the characteristics of the organizations they joined that contributed to their achievements. The goal of this discussion will be to empower women with concrete and practical tools for success, help them adopt the right mindset, and redefine what’s possible.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently bumped up the Denver Metro and North Front Range Area’s nonattainment status for ozone from moderate to serious. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is now working on modeling to support a package of control measures to be added to the Colorado state implementation plan (SIP) to bring the area into compliance with federal ozone standards.
In this live video webinar, we will hear from Amanda Brimmer, Technical Director for the Regional Air Quality Council (RAQC) to update our attendees on SIP planning and regulatory requirements. Also joining Amanda will be Ralph Morris of Ramboll, one of the original developers of many of the photochemical air quality models being used for regulatory decision making in the US, and leader of Ramboll’s modeling work for the RAQC and CDPHE on Colorado’s Serious Ozone SIP. Ralph and Amanda will be joined by Davis Graham attorneys to provide some brief regulatory and litigation updates, and to field questions from our attendees.
