Ballot initiatives 97 and 108 would have serious and synergistic implications for Colorado. Initiative 97 would restrict the future development of oil and gas, while Initiative 108 would make it easier to prevail on takings claims. At this discussion, Davis Graham attorney Dave Neslin, who also served as the former Colorado Oil & Gas Conservation Commissioner, will provide an overview of the initiative process, discuss the practical consequences of Initiatives 97 and 108, and explore some of the resulting legal issues.
