Press Releases | June 3, 2019 Davis Graham Named Among Law360’s Top 70 Law Firms for Female Attorneys

Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP is pleased to announce that it has been named among Law360’s 70 Best Law Firms for Female Attorneys. Law360’s 2019 Glass Ceiling Report surveyed more than 300 U.S. firms about their demographic makeup as of December 31, 2018, using a methodology that grouped firms according to the number of attorneys employed. Firms that had below-average female representation at any level were deemed ineligible for ranking. At Davis Graham, which ranked number 18 among participating U.S. law firms with 50 to 149 lawyers, more than one-third of the firm’s partnership and 42% of all attorneys were women.

“Davis Graham is committed to attracting and retaining female attorneys to better serve our clients and the community in which we practice law,” said Davis Graham Co-Managing Partner Kristin Lentz. “We are proud to be recognized as a leading firm in terms of female representation.”

Davis Graham has a strong track record of promoting gender equality, having received the Women in Law Empowerment Forum Gold Standard Certification upon demonstrating that women represent a meaningful percentage of equity partners, leadership positions, governance and compensation committees, and most highly compensated partners. The Davis Graham Diversity & Inclusiveness Committee recently relaunched and reinvigorated the firm’s Davis Graham Women’s Network, which meets throughout the year. A dynamic component of this initiative is the Women in Leadership Lecture Series (WILLS), which features valuable perspectives on overcoming personal and professional obstacles on the path to leadership.

“To promote a more gender equal profession, we need to lead by example,” said Davis Graham Co-Managing Partner Chad Williams. “We look forward to raising the bar even higher.”

According to Law360’s latest findings, women represent merely 36.3% of attorneys at participating firms, a number that has remained stagnant for the past six annual law firm surveys. At the equity partner rank, women account for only 21.5% of the attorney workforce. While Law360 acknowledged that these statistics are not as promising as they should be and that fewer women attorneys are rising through the ranks, firms like Davis Graham are “leading the pack in representing women at all levels.”
