Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP is pleased to announce that Zach C. Miller has been named the recipient of the 2024 Colorado Law Alumni William Lee Knous Award, presented by the University of Colorado Law Alumni Board and Dean Lolita Buckner Inniss. This award is CU Law’s highest alumni honor, established in memory of former governor, federal judge, and alumnus William Lee Knous, and recognizes outstanding achievement and sustained service to Colorado Law.
“Zach’s longstanding dedication to the profession and deep commitment to Colorado Law and the legal community is remarkable,” said Davis Graham partner Jon Rauchway. “Zach has been a mentor and friend to multiple generations of Davis Graham and other lawyers and students, and we are proud that he is receiving this well-deserved award.”
Over the past few decades, Mr. Miller has made a positive and enduring impact on the legal profession and the community through his work on the Environmental Advisory Board for the City of Boulder, the Advisory Council for the Getches-Wilkinson Center at CU Law School, tutoring at DPS schools, and other services. His late mentors, Clyde O. Martz, considered the father of natural resource law, and David Getches, a CU Law professor and co-founder with Clyde of the CU Natural Resources Law Center, helped guide much of Mr. Miller’s career.
Industry-leading publications, such as The Best Lawyers in America© and Chambers USA, have consistently recognized Mr. Miller’s excellence. He also has an AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rating™ from Martindale-AVVO®. In 2011, he was inducted as a fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers.
Mr. Miller, along with five other exceptional alumni, will be recognized at the 43rd annual Colorado Law Alumni Awards Banquet on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the Seawell Ballroom at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
