Alena Weicher
Associate
Alena Weicher is an associate in the Trial Group at Davis Graham. Alena represents clients in product liability, premises liability, and complex commercial litigation. She has experience managing complex litigation matters through all phases of discovery and case development, including drafting dispositive motions, preparing and defending depositions, coordinating with expert witnesses, and developing overall case strategy.
Prior to joining Davis Graham, Alena practiced in the Denver office of a boutique litigation firm, representing clients in complex business disputes and litigation matters. Earlier, Alena served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Robert Lochary of the First Judicial District Court of Colorado and to the Honorable Elizabeth Brodsky of the Twentieth Judicial District Court of Colorado. Alena earned her J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School, received M.A. degrees from Dominican University and Northwestern University, and received a B.A. from Boston College.
Before pursuing a legal career, Alena spent over a decade as a high school English teacher. Her background in teaching and writing informs her thoughtful and practical approach to advocacy and client service. Outside of her legal practice, she enjoys running and spending time with her family in the Colorado outdoors.
Representative Experience
- Authored amicus brief filed in the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in support of a petition for a rehearing en banc in a case involving the civil rights of foster children.
- Member of a trial team that won a jury verdict in a telecommunications dispute worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
- Won dismissal on summary judgment for a construction equipment manufacturer in a warehouse fire dispute.
