Claire Mueller is a senior associate at Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP, where her practice focuses on product liability defense, personal injury defense, complex commercial litigation, corporate control disputes, and real estate disputes. Claire’s experience includes representing clients before juries, appellate courts, arbitrators, and mediators. She has represented clients from the automotive, legal, energy, aerospace, real estate, and construction industries, among others. She has experience in all stages of trial practice, including researching, drafting, and arguing filings in trial courts, leading discovery efforts, acting as trial counsel in multi-day trials, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in appellate courts. Claire also maintains an active pro bono practice, where she often uses her skills as a fluent Spanish speaker.

Claire currently serves on the board of directors of Family Star Montessori. She is a member of the 2023 Colorado Bar Association Leadership Training (COBALT) Program and is a graduate of the Denver Metro Leadership Foundation’s Impact Denver program.

Prior to joining Davis Graham, Claire received her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, where she received various writing awards and was the chief notes editor for The Review of Litigation, a top-ranked, student-edited specialty law review. She also participated in the National Appellate Advocacy Competition in 2015, where she was chosen as one of the top 10 oral advocates in her region.

Born and raised in Denver, Claire graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University with a degree in Peace and Justice Studies. During the five years between graduating from college and attending law school, Claire lived in Ecuador, where she taught English and became fluent in Spanish.

Representative Experience

  • Obtained a favorable resolution for clients who gained control of a water company and had to affirmatively seek court intervention to protect that ownership.
  • Associate counsel defending an engineering company against $170 million in claimed damages on contract, negligence, and fraud claims. The jury rejected the negligence and fraud claims entirely and awarded a small fraction of the alleged contract damages.
  • Successfully litigated various quiet title actions to completion.
  • Obtained a favorable settlement for a plaintiff in a construction defect lawsuit a week before trial, where Denver District Court Judge Martin Egelhoff stated Ms. Mueller’s proposed jury instructions were the best he had seen in his time on the bench.
  • Helped obtain a mutual walk-away settlement agreement in contract and fraud dispute between international aerospace companies.
