Jason B. Werner is of counsel at Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP, where his practice has an emphasis on corporate transactions, including corporate finance, M&A, and private equity matters.

Prior to joining Davis Graham, Jason practiced in the Denver office of an international law firm. He led teams handling transactions for private equity funds, independent sponsors, public and private purchasers and sellers, and other buy-side entities in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, focusing on the lower-middle market. Jason’s experience in corporate restructuring, negotiating documentation for upstream and downstream entities and joint ventures, and serving as outside general counsel, overseeing clients’ day-to-day corporate legal needs, has been invaluable in assisting organizations to achieve their objectives. Before that, Jason was an associate in the New York office of an international law firm. Earlier, he worked at a futures exchange company in the financial services industry.

Jason received his J.D. from Columbia Law School and a B.B.A. in Finance and Political Science from Emory University Roberto C. Goizueta Business School. During law school, he held a judicial externship with the Honorable Jorge A. Solis of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas and served as the financial editor for the Columbia Journal of Environmental Law. Before law school, he served as a staff assistant to United States Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison in Washington, DC.
