Julia Boccagno is an associate in the Trial Group at Davis Graham. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Julia served as a law clerk and judicial assistant to the Honorable Maria Berkenkotter of the Colorado Supreme Court, where she researched and analyzed complex legal issues and prepared memoranda regarding certiorari petitions and matters before the court. She also externed for the Honorable Monica Márquez of the Colorado Supreme Court, gaining valuable experience in appellate litigation and judicial decision-making.

Julia earned her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law with Public Good Distinction. During law school, she served as a staff editor of the Denver Law Review and published scholarly research examining mass tort bankruptcy proceedings. She also represented clients through the Civil Litigation Clinic, advocating for individuals seeking civil protection orders, and gained additional litigation and regulatory experience through positions with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office and the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado. Julia remains committed to mentorship and most recently advised recent law school graduates throughout the bar exam process.

Before law school, Julia was an award-winning journalist in Washington, DC Her experience investigating complex issues, analyzing information, and communicating effectively to diverse audiences continues to inform her approach to client advocacy.

Julia received her B.A. from American University in Broadcast Journalism, with minors in International Relations and Italian.
