Melanie J. Granberg

For more than 25 years, Melanie Granberg’s practice has encompassed a broad range of environmental matters, including regulatory compliance, transactional work, and litigation. Her practice spans a variety of areas, covering asbestos, groundwater and soil contamination, site remediation, voluntary cleanup, air permitting, compliance assistance, real estate transactions, litigation, methamphetamine/drug lab remediation, mold, and land use.

Prior to joining Davis Graham, Melanie practiced in the Denver office of a leading boutique environmental law firm. While there, she regularly represented clients in matters involving RCRA, CERCLA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, the Oil Pollution Act, the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and state equivalent regulations. She offers comprehensive assistance to clients seeking audit and voluntary disclosures, regulatory enforcement and permitting proceedings, and environmental due diligence and site remediation. Her expertise covers the remediation of contaminated sites as well as facilitating redevelopment. She also has experience in air permitting, particularly Title V permitting.

Melanie received her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Colorado. She was a multi-term member of the Colorado Solid and Hazardous Waste Commission. Since 2005, Melanie has served as the environmental law coordinating editor for the Colorado Lawyer, the primary publication of the Colorado Bar Association.
