Michael Golz is an associate at Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP, where his practice focuses on environmental law and litigation. Mr. Golz assists clients in litigation and regulatory matters under the Clean Water Act, CERCLA, RCRA, and other federal and state environmental laws. He also assists clients in water rights matters and helps clients navigate litigation and regulatory risks associated with emerging contaminants. Mr. Golz serves clients across a variety of industries including mining, real estate development, energy, and wastewater management.

Prior to joining Davis Graham, Mr. Golz served as a postgraduate legal intern at Stanford Law School’s Environmental Law Clinic. He also worked for the Clinic during law school and served as co-director of the school’s Environmental Law Pro Bono Project. Mr. Golz is a former summer associate in the Environmental Group at Davis Graham.

In 2020, Mr. Golz received his J.D. from Stanford Law School and his M.S. from Stanford’s School of Earth, Energy, and Environmental Sciences, with a concentration in freshwater resources. He also holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics–Economics from Brown University.

Mr. Golz is a member of the Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law, and he regularly reports for the Foundation’s Mineral and Energy Law Newsletter.
