Data center development is accelerating rapidly, and air permitting has become a critical path issue for developers, owners, operators, EHS leaders, and in-house counsel. This webinar will examine how recent federal initiatives, evolving Clean Air Act legal interpretations, state-level permitting approaches, nonattainment constraints, and public scrutiny are reshaping permitting for data centers and associated power generation. Drawing on firsthand permitting experience and legal/regulatory insight, Ramboll and Davis Graham & Stubbs will discuss practical considerations for permitting strategy, NAAQS demonstrations through either dispersion modeling or monitoring, benefits and risks of different power sources such as behind-the-meter and temporary generation, source aggregation, construction sequencing, and community engagement. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of the air permitting issues to pressure-test early in the process and how to align permitting strategy with power options, site design, operational flexibility, and project schedule.
