Kristin Glesne

Kristin Glesne is an associate at Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP with a focus on tax, employee benefits, and tax-exempt organizations.

Kristin has extensive knowledge of the Colorado Revised Nonprofit Corporation Act and has assisted many nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations by drafting the necessary organizational documents and applying to the Internal Revenue Service for tax-exempt status.

Kristin advises nonprofit organizations that operate in various industries, such as education, healthcare, and fine arts, on day-to-day operational issues such as negotiation and revision of service agreements and regulatory compliance. She also works closely with nonprofit organizations in navigating transactions and mergers with other nonprofit organizations, tax-exempt status changes, supporting organization operational requirements, private foundation operational requirements, and controlled group analyses.

Kristin’s practice also includes advising employers on the structuring and administration of retirement benefit programs. This practice includes retirement plan and amendment drafting, review and negotiation of administrative service agreements, and plan  administrative compliance and correction.

Kristin also assists the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Davis Graham as an employee benefits specialist, performing due diligence and identifying and resolving employee benefits and executive compensation issues within the context of major asset and equity deals. Kristin is familiar with the requirements imposed by ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA for retirement and health and welfare offerings.

Prior to joining Davis Graham, Kristin earned her J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School and her B.B.A. in Economics from the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business, where she competed on the women’s golf team.

Kristin is a recent graduate of the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Lab, a leadership development program for emerging women leaders.
