Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP is pleased to announce that Ashley Garber Browner has joined the Energy & Mining Group, and Carla R. Martin has joined the newly formed Property Rights Group.

Ashley Garber Browner, who is admitted to practice in Colorado and Texas, has joined Davis Graham as of counsel. Ms. Browner’s practice focuses primarily on transactional and corporate matters. Her transactional expertise covers a broad range of energy topics, including the acquisition and divestiture of private oil and gas companies and their related entities, joint ventures and project development, and complex service agreements across the energy sector. Ms. Browner brings over 15 years of commercial and technical experience in the energy industry to Davis Graham, including recently, as a senior executive of several private oil and gas exploration companies. Prior to joining Davis Graham, Ms. Browner was General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary of Bowline Energy, LLC (acquired by Kraken Resources). In addition, she was previously General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Nine Point Energy Holdings, Inc., the successor entity to Triangle USA Petroleum Corporation, where she guided the company through Delaware Ch. 11 Bankruptcy proceedings and the sale of the company’s assets to Bowline Energy. Ms. Browner worked for Triangle and its related entities for nearly 10 years, starting as Associate Counsel and eventually being named Interim General Counsel and then General Counsel. She led the company through rapid growth phases comprising major asset acquisitions and the formation of numerous energy services companies and a midstream company through joint ventures. Upon receiving her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, Ms. Browner practiced with a national law firm in Washington, DC. She advised clients on oil, natural gas, electric, renewable energy, and environmental topics, focusing on project development and FERC regulatory matters. She was later Assistant General Counsel for a large publicly traded energy enterprise and managed a variety of transactional and regulatory legal issues for the west region business unit.

Carla R. Martin joins Davis Graham as an associate in the newly formed Property Rights Practice. Carla brings close to a decade of litigation experience, with particular expertise in real estate litigation. Ms. Martin has experience handling complex commercial lease disputes, easement and boundary disputes, and quiet title actions to recover or clear title to property. Ms. Martin’s clients have included developers, commercial landlords and tenants, and owners of large, high-value properties. In her eminent domain practice, Ms. Martin advises both condemnor and landowner clients through the specialized condemnation process. Before joining Davis Graham, she was an associate with an international law firm and focused on real estate litigation. She previously clerked for the Honorable Morris B. Hoffman of the Colorado Second Judicial District. Ms. Martin received her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and her B.S. from the University of Miami. Ms. Martin is admitted to practice in Colorado.
